Our science program embraces active, inquiry-based learning where students engage in hands-on experiments and real-world investigations. Through observation, experimentation, and critical thinking, students explore key scientific concepts in physical, earth and space, chemical, and biological sciences. A central component of the program is the use of science journals, where students regularly record hypotheses, procedures, data, reflections, and conclusions. These journals encourage scientific thinking, support literacy skills, and help students track their learning over time. By integrating hands-on activities with written documentation, the program fosters curiosity, deepens understanding, and builds essential skills in scientific communication. The program provides a range of options to enhance hands-on science education in alignment with the Victorian Curriculum 2.0 and the VTLM.
