Government funding covers teachers’ wages, essential curriculum support and some general funding. In order to give your child the education they deserve we need parents to contribute a small amount of money every year. Voluntary parent contributions are for essential items, but families are also welcome to make extra payments allocated to special areas, such as the library, welfare programs, or buildings.
For the latest fee and levy structure, see ‘school fees’ document on the documents and forms page of this site.
Victorian government schools teach the standard curriculum to all students for free. Tax-payer funding covers just the basics of the school, including the teacher salaries, building and facilities, and extra funding for children with a disability.
Fees cover items that are essential to help your child learn the standard curriculum. Each school decides which items are necessary for their school. At Windsor Primary, essential items include textbooks, workbooks, stationery, digital subscriptions for online learning programs, and materials used for classes such as art or science.
Our school council decides costs, fees and essential items - guided by departmental policy to meet our community's needs.
Voluntary payments
We warmly encourage families to make voluntary payments, which directly support key areas of our school such as digital devices, the school building fund, and first aid resources. Every contribution—no matter the amount—makes a meaningful difference and helps enhance the learning environment for all students. You can choose how much to give and where you'd like your support to go. Your generosity is truly appreciated and valued.
