WINDSOR WORDS

October 2026

PRINCIPAL'S NEWS

It has been wonderful to see our students settle back into school routines so well after the break.

This term, we are placing a special focus on attendance and punctuality, as being at school on time every day makes a real difference to children’s learning and wellbeing.

We are also excited to announce our “Sounds of Summer” end-of-year concert celebration, to be held on Wednesday 2 December at 5pm. Families are warmly invited to bring a picnic and enjoy the evening with us.

With so many special events planned for the term, please take a moment to check the school calendar so you don’t miss out on any important information.

5/6A & B

The 5/6 cohort has made a fantastic start to the final term! Here’s a snapshot of what we’ve been up to.

Reading: Nevermoor

We’ve begun our class text study of Nevermoor: The Trials of Morrigan Crow. If your child loves Harry Potter, they’ll be right at home in this magical world of mystery, adventure and wonder.

Learning Auslan

Students have also started learning Auslan, and they’re loving it! Ask your child to sign their name, your name, and their favourite colours. It’s great fun and very engaging.

Maths: Spreadsheets and Graphs

In maths, students have been building spreadsheets in Google Sheets. They can now create their own spreadsheets and turn the data into graphs.
